This is the Drake fans listen to when the texts start going green, the good ones have gone, and Confessions isn’t hitting like it did in ’04. This is Honestly, Nevermind crying-in-the-club Drake, the one to blame for whatever broken relationship he’s mourning and the person who will soon enter the DMing Drake/Rolodex Drake/Horny Drake hamster wheel. This is the Drake who’s sitting cross-legged on the bathroom floor at a New Year’s Eve party-lips pursed, double vodka cran ( mixed with emotions) in hand, doom scrolling through Instagram and zooming in on photos of his ex kissing their next at midnight. “You think I’m so caught up in where I am right now / But believe, I remember it all.” -“Club Paradise” Emo Drake “It’s weighin’ heavy on my mind / And I can’t help but wonder how you’ve been.” -“Since Way Back” “OK, look, I’m honest, girl, I can’t lie, I miss you.” -“Shot For Me” ![]() “The other day Lissa told me that she miss the old me.” -“The Resistance” To his credit, though, the guy’s made a career from reminiscing.
